How do I make an ad with AI?
You don't need a separate AI tool — Meta, Google and TikTok now build AI creative generation into their own ad platforms. Upload one image, video or your website URL, and each one can generate variations, backgrounds, text or full video ads for you to review and launch.

What can each platform's own AI actually do?
| Platform | Tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Advantage+ Creative | Upload one image or video; it generates text variations, image expansion, new backgrounds, animation and music, applied inside Ads Manager |
| Google Ads | Performance Max asset generation | Enter your website URL; Google AI summarizes your product and suggests or generates text, image, logo and video assets |
| TikTok | Symphony | Symphony Creative Studio turns images, text or products into TikTok-style video in minutes; Smart+ campaigns get Recommended Creatives and Automatic Enhancements built into Ads Manager |
How do I use them?
- Meta: in Ads Manager, when adding an image or video to an ad, opt into Advantage+ Creative enhancements individually or all at once.
- Google: in a Performance Max asset group, enter your landing page URL, edit the AI-written summary, then click Generate assets.
- TikTok: open Symphony Creative Studio (free, standalone) to generate a video, or turn on Smart+ inside Ads Manager for ongoing automated creative refreshes.
Should I trust the output as-is?
No — treat it as a fast first draft. Google explicitly warns that AI-generated assets "aren't guaranteed to be approved" and tells advertisers to check them for accuracy and policy compliance before publishing. The same applies to Meta and TikTok's tools: they speed up production, not judgment.
