Which payment gateways work with Shopify in Kuwait?
Shopify Payments doesn't operate in Kuwait, so KNET and card payments go through a third-party gateway instead. The two genuinely built for this — listed on the Shopify App Store and supporting KNET directly — are MyFatoorah and Tap.

Why can't I just use Shopify Payments?
Shopify Payments is only available in a set list of countries, and Kuwait isn't one of them (Shopify Help Center). Every Kuwaiti store needs a separate gateway app, and Shopify then charges its own third-party payment fee on top: 2% on the Basic plan, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced.

Both connect directly to Shopify's checkout rather than redirecting customers to a separate page for every payment method.
How do I decide between them?
- Check which methods your customers actually use — if Apple Pay matters alongside KNET, compare how each app handles it.
- Read current per-transaction fees directly from each provider before signing up — gateway pricing changes and isn't fixed by Shopify.
- Test the checkout yourself on a development store before going live, since UI and redirect behavior differ between the two.
