How much do Snapchat ads cost, and are they worth it?
Snapchat sets $5 a day as its minimum campaign budget, but recommends $20–50 a day so your campaign can get through its early learning period and actually show you real results. Billing runs on a cost-per-1,000-impressions (CPM) basis, with Snapchat's system bidding automatically toward the action you set — a swipe-up, an install, or an impression goal.

What's the real minimum, and what should I actually budget?
| Level | Amount | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Absolute minimum | $5/day | The floor Snapchat allows |
| Recommended | $20–50/day | Enough data for the auction to learn who to show your ad to |
How does billing work?
Snapchat charges on a CPM basis and uses goal-based (auction) bidding, so its system automatically spends toward whatever action you're optimizing for. Accounts can be postpaid (billed once spend crosses a set point) or prepaid (you top up in advance), with statements available inside Ads Manager.
So — are they worth it?
Snapchat's own advice is to judge a campaign by what you see in Ads Manager: spend against impressions and actions, checked through Delivery Insights and Audience Insights, not by a gut feeling after a day or two. If results are weak, Snapchat's own recommendation is to keep testing — new creative, new targeting, new placements — rather than assuming the platform itself doesn't work. Whether it's "worth it" really depends on your audience: Snapchat reaches a mostly younger, mobile-first crowd, so the answer is different for a clothing brand than for a B2B service.
