Is Shopify free?
No — Shopify has no permanently free plan. It starts with a short free trial, and after that you have to choose a paid plan to keep the store open.

What does the trial give me?
Shopify's own pages describe a free 3-day trial with no credit card required, and say that after the trial most plans start at $1 per month for the first 3 months before moving to standard pricing.
That's enough time to build and look at a store, not enough to test whether it sells.
What if I don't pick a plan?
Shopify states that if you cancel during the free trial without selecting a plan, no action is required and your account is frozen. Your work isn't thrown away, but the store stops being live.
What does it actually cost in Kuwait?
The plan is only part of it:
