How do I make my Snapchat public for my business?

Snapchat calls it a Public Profile, and it is the business version of an account — anyone can find it and subscribe without adding you back. Snapchat's help pages say that if you set up your Snapchat and business accounts together, the Public Profile was created as part of that; if not, you can create one directly in Ads Manager.

What does a Public Profile give me?

  • Anyone can subscribe without a mutual add, so your Stories reach people who never met you.
  • A profile that looks like a business: display name, business category, bio, cover photo.
  • Links out — your website, or a product catalogue.
  • A place your ads point back to, so paid reach turns into a following.

What do I need to set up?

Snapchat's guidance on a complete profile lists a profile photo, a bio and a cover photo, plus a public display name, a business category, relevant links such as your website or catalogue, and your business location if you have one.

Fill all of it. A half-finished profile converts badly for exactly the same reason a half-finished shopfront does.

Then what?

Post. Snapchat's own advice is that Stories, Spotlights and Highlights are what bring a profile to life, and subscribers are how people stay connected to it.

But be realistic: organic reach on a new Public Profile is small. In Kuwait, Snapchat's advertising reach was 2.43 million in October 2025 according to DataReportal — almost none of which will find you by accident. The profile is where paid traffic lands, not a replacement for it.

So set it up, then send people to it. The cost side is in how much Snapchat ads cost, and the setup in how to make a sponsored ad on Snapchat.

Quick follow-ups

  • Snapchat's help pages say you can have only one Public Profile per email and username, and that you need an additional Snapchat account for each additional profile you want to manage.
