What does a digital marketing agency actually do?
A digital marketing agency finds you customers online: it plans who to reach and with what message, runs your paid ads, makes the images and videos, and tracks which ads bring sales. A good one reports back in plain numbers and keeps improving what works.

What's in the day-to-day work?
| Job | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Strategy | Who your customer is, which platforms, what offer, what budget |
| Ads | Setting up and managing campaigns on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, Snapchat and Google |
| Creative | Photos, videos and ad text made for each platform |
| Tracking | Pixels and conversion tracking so you know which ad led to a sale |
| Reporting | Regular numbers: spend, leads, sales, and next steps |
Some agencies also handle websites, landing pages, SEO and WhatsApp setup.
Who should own the ad accounts?
You should. Meta's Business Help Centre explains how to give a partner business access to your assets, either full control or partial access for tasks like managing ads. That way the agency works inside your accounts, and your pages, ad accounts and data stay with you if you ever change agency. The same idea applies on Google: ask for access to your account, not an account in their name.
How do I know it's working?
Look at results, not activity. Ask for cost per lead or per sale, and how that is changing over time. If you don't know how to read the numbers, start with how to know which sale came from which ad.
How do I pick one?
Ask for real examples, who owns the accounts, how they report, and what happens if you leave. Our checklist on choosing a digital marketing agency in Kuwait covers the questions to ask.
