What is a content calendar, and how do I make one?
A content calendar is a simple plan of what you'll post, on which platform, and on what day. It turns "what do we post today?" into a list you prepare ahead, so your accounts stay active even in busy weeks.

What goes in a content calendar?
A spreadsheet is enough. Each row is one post:
| Date | Platform | Format | Topic / hook | Goal | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sun 5 Oct | Reel | Behind the scenes of a new order | Awareness | Filming | |
| Tue 7 Oct | TikTok | Video | Customer question answered | Trust | Draft |
| Thu 9 Oct | Instagram + Facebook | Carousel | Weekend offer | Sales | Scheduled |
How do I make one, step by step?
- Pick your platforms. Only the ones your customers actually use.
- Choose a realistic rhythm. Posting steadily beats posting a lot for two weeks and then stopping.
- Mark key dates first. Launches, paydays, Ramadan, Eid, National Day, your own offers.
- Rotate a few content types. For example: educate, show proof, show the team, sell.
- Batch the work. Film and design several posts in one session.
- Schedule, then review. Check what worked each month and adjust.
Where can I schedule it?
Meta's Business Help Centre describes the Planner in Meta Business Suite as a place to plan and schedule posts, stories, reels and ads across Facebook and Instagram, with a weekly or monthly view. When scheduling, it also offers "active times" to suggest when your audience is most active. You can save drafts and duplicate posts to save time.
