How do I check what my competitors are doing in their marketing?
Start with the free public ad libraries: Meta Ad Library, Google's Ads Transparency Center and TikTok's Creative Center. They show you competitors' actual ads, so you can see their offers, angles and formats without guessing.

What does each tool actually show?
| Tool | What you can see | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Ad Library | All active ads across Facebook, Instagram and other Meta technologies, searchable by Page or keyword | No budget or results for normal business ads |
| Google Ads Transparency Center | Ads from verified advertisers on Search, YouTube and Display, with the last date shown and the format | Search is by advertiser or website, not by keyword |
| TikTok Creative Center (Top Ads) | A collection of high-performing TikTok ads, filterable by region, industry and objective | A curated selection, not every ad |
| TikTok Commercial Content Library | Paid ads with creative, dates and targeting details | TikTok says only European data is available for now |
How do I use the Meta Ad Library?
Set the country to Kuwait, search the competitor's Page name, and note which ads have been running longest. The full walkthrough is in how to see your competitors' ads.
What should I write down?
For each competitor, note:
- The offer: discount, free delivery, bundle, trial
- The angle: price, speed, quality, trust
- The format: video, carousel, image, UGC-style
- How long ads run: long-running ads are usually the ones working
Should I copy what they do?
No. Their ad fits their price and reputation, not yours. Use what you find to spot gaps, like a promise nobody is making, then test your own version. See what makes a good ad creative and how to test two ads properly.
What else is worth checking?
Their website offers, their Google reviews, and what customers ask in their comments. Those tell you what the market cares about.
