What is a landing page?
A landing page is a single page built to do one thing: turn the person who clicked your ad into an enquiry or an order. It has no menu, no distractions and no other options — just the offer your ad promised.

How is it different from a website?
| Website | Landing page |
|---|---|
| Many pages, many purposes | One page, one purpose |
| A menu to explore | No menu to wander into |
| Built to inform | Built to convert |
| Judged by visits | Judged by enquiries or sales |
A website answers "who are you?". A landing page answers "should I do this now?".
What has to be on it?
- The same promise as the ad, in the same words
- The price, or an honest reason it varies
- Proof — photos of real work, reviews, results
- The one action, repeated: WhatsApp, call, or buy
- Answers to the three things people always ask before buying
- A page that loads fast on mobile data
Why does it matter for ads?
Because you're paying for every click that lands on it. Published ecommerce benchmarks put conversion around 2–3%, so most visitors leave no matter what — the page decides how many of the rest stay. That's why fixing the page often lowers your cost per sale more than changing the ad does; see why ads get clicks but no sales and what a good conversion rate is.
Do I need one for search ads too?
Yes, and arguably more. Someone who typed a specific need into Google should land on the page that answers it — see how to run a Google ad.
