Why is the Boost Post button not showing?
Usually because that particular post isn't eligible to be boosted. Meta publishes both a list of post types that can't be boosted and a troubleshooting guide, and those two pages answer most cases.

How do I narrow it down in two minutes?
- Try a different post. If the button appears on another post, the problem is the post itself, not your Page
- Check the post type. Meta maintains a published list of post types that can't be boosted — check yours against it
- Check where you're looking. The option appears in different places on the Page, in Meta Business Suite and in the app
- Check your access. You need the right role on the Page to create ads from it
- Check the ad account. If the account is restricted, nothing will run — see what to do when a Facebook ad account is disabled
What should I do instead?
Build the ad in Ads Manager. This is the honest answer even when boosting does work: Boost is a shortcut with very few settings, while Ads Manager lets you choose the goal, the audience, the placements and the budget separately.
Most people who boost are paying for engagement when they wanted sales or enquiries. See what Boost Post means and how it differs from running ads properly and how to use Meta Ads Manager.
Is a boosted post worth anything at all?
It's fine for what it is — putting money behind a post that's already doing well organically. It's a poor tool for getting a specific result at a predictable cost, because you can't ask it for one properly — see how to choose a campaign objective.
